Privacy policy

Network Console is developed by Ray Delsol. This policy describes how the app handles information. For privacy questions, contact support@raydelsol.uk.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your saved device library, folders, connection profiles and preferences locally. These may include device names, network addresses and service information. When you choose to remember credentials, the app stores the secret in Apple’s Keychain.

Network connections

Discovery and port scans communicate with addresses on the network or ranges you choose. Terminal and remote-desktop sessions communicate with your selected server. That server receives the connection information and any credentials or commands required for the session. Telnet is not encrypted; use SSH where available.

Internet checks and public IP addresses

The app contacts an Apple endpoint to check Internet connectivity and uses api64.ipify.org to obtain the connection’s public IP address, including as a fallback connectivity check. These services necessarily receive the source IP address and normal network-request information. Their handling of those requests is governed by their own policies. Network Console does not send your saved device library or stored credentials with these checks.

Permissions

Local Network access allows discovery and connections to devices you administer. Optional location permission allows the app to display Wi-Fi network details such as the network name and access-point address. Network Console does not collect or transmit location coordinates.

Exports and support

If you export or share device information or port results, you choose where the file goes. Device-library exports exclude saved credentials. If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are received for handling your enquiry. Please avoid including passwords or other sensitive information.

Advertising and tracking

The app does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. It does not require a developer-hosted account. App Store purchases and Apple diagnostic services are handled by Apple under its policies and your device settings.

Your choices

You can remove saved devices within the app, control permissions in system settings, and choose whether to remember credentials. Exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them. Contact support for help with stored connection information or a privacy request.

This website

These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising or cookies. The server hosting the website may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and maintain security.
